This sassy free crochet dishcloth pattern is sure to bring some joy into the not-so-fun task of cleaning up around the house!

Oh hey, just so you know! This post may contain affiliate links. If you click a link and purchase anything, I will receive a small portion of the sale from the seller. There’s ZERO extra cost to you. And don’t worry, I wouldn’t suggest something to you that I wouldn’t suggest to my own family, because that would be shitty and I prefer not to be shitty to people. Thanks for supporting my little business <3

Materials

Yarn -

Have you tried Dishie by WeCrochet yet? I LOVE this stuff. SO much more than your run-of-the-mill cotton yarn. Click the pic to check out my review on this yarn and see why it’s worth ordering!

Hook -

Notions -

    • Yarn Needle

Gauge

Gauge is not terribly important for this pattern, unless you’re super particular about the size of your washcloths….but in general, the tighter your stitch, the stiffer the washcloth, so just bear that in mind 🙂

Sizes

~8″ square

Abbreviations

beg – beginning

ch – chain

rep – repeat

sc – single crochet

sp(s) – space(s)

st(s) – stitch(es)

Pattern Notes

NOTES:

Graph is worked in single crochet. For a large, looser cloth, you could work in hdc as well.

Beginning ch 37, start Row 1 in second ch from hook.

Ch 1 does not count as first stitch in each row.

If you would like the letters to be a bit cleaner on the edges, consider working RS row in the back loop only of the previous row and each WS row in the front loop only of the previous row, this will help the stitches line up a lot better, but can be a bit more time-consuming.
