Mug Rug Crochet Pattern – FREE – Crochet, Coffee, & Curse Words

Pinterest

<<Pin This Mug Rug Crochet Pattern For Later!

This mug rug crochet pattern says it all. I certainly run on Crochet, Coffee & Curse Words…how about you?

This is the 3rd entry in the Crocheter’s Series of patterns and I’ve got plans for about 8 total patterns O.o

The first two were the Crochet Shit – Tote Bag and matching Polka Pouch – Hook Case

I cannot wait to complete this series, it’s been so fun to dream up…

The inspiration for this series stemmed from the knowledge that we crochet enthusiasts tend to stitch things for everyone in the damn world but ourselves. So I wanted to create a series to encourage crafters to do something for themselves for once!

So I hope you enjoy WIP’ing up this mug rug and all the other patterns in the series!

Oh hey, just so you know! This post may contain affiliate links. If you click a link and purchase anything, I will receive a small portion of the sale from the seller. There’s ZERO extra cost to you. And don’t worry, I wouldn’t suggest something to you that I wouldn’t suggest to my own family, because that would be shitty and I prefer not to be shitty to people. Thanks for supporting my little business <3

Pattern Instructions Continued

Fringe

Cut 48 approximately 6″ lengths of color (A) & 36 approximately 6″ lengths of color (B)

Use 3 at a time to knot a set of tassels. Place 2 tassels at either end of each stripe. I do this by folding the 3 strips in half, pushing my crochet hook through where I want to place the tassel, then hooking on the looped end of the 3 strands and pulling through, then knotting by pulling the loose ends through the loop I have just created.

Lettering

Use the photo to help with placement of the lettering.

I recommend folding the whole piece in half on the short edge. Then begin by back-stitching letters from the middle.

As an example, I began by stitching the lower case “t” in “Crochet” to the left of center and worked towards the capital “C” at the beginning of the word

Now high five yourself because you're done my friend!

Now share your amazingness with the world!

Free Crochet Pattern – Plant Purgatory Wall Hanging

Let’s face it, just because you love plants, doesn’t automatically mean you have the greenest thumb on the planet…If you or someone you know keeps buying plants just to watch them slowly die on a shelf (like me…) then this wall hanging is the perfect in-good-humor free crochet pattern to stitch up 😀
