How to crochet the Clones Knot Stitch

Ready to learn how to crochet the Clones Knot?

Well you are in the right place friend!

This stitch is traditionally use in Irish lace. It is just a great ornamental stitch to add interest to lots of different pieces!

My favorite way to use it is as a border decoration like I did on the Bollocks pillow!

Why learn the clones knot?

It’s like a pompom, but a little bit classier… So really I think the question is, why knot? LOLOLOLOL

But in seriousness, it’s a great stitch to have in your arsenal for moments when you want to add a little pizzazz to the border of just about anything.

Add it to the bottom of a wall hanging, the edge of a blanket or between stitched gaps on a shawl.

It’s a highly versatile stitch that can make itself useful in lots of crochet applications!

It's like a pompom, but a little bit classier.
