How to Make a Tassel Out of Yarn

It’s a known fact that there isn’t anything fancier than a tassel. I mean…probably its a fact. I certainly consider it a fact….how about you? 🙂

If you want to fancy up your next crochet project, why not learn how to make a tassel out of yarn?

They’re super easy (seriously takes like 5 minutes) and they ad a little something extra to spice up a project.

I mean really…would “Stitch Bitch” look the same without the tassels? I think not.

Make a Tassel Out of Yarn - Quick and Easy!

You don’t need a lot to make a tassel!

  • A bit of yarn, or maybe quite a bit…just depends on the size of tassel you’re making 🙂
  • Something that is a little bigger than the tassel that you want to make that you can wrap yarn around (I love books and note pads)…for example, in the video I use a 4in note pad when I want a ~3in tassel. This allows for trimming things up at the end without the tassel ending up too short.
  • A pair of scissors
  • And an optional crochet hook if you want to use crocheted chains like I do in the video

In just about 6 minutes, you will be on your way to significantly improving your crochet life! Just grab a hook and some yarn and watch the video tutorial below!
