Ideas for art printables

Woman reaching for yarn on a high shelf that's full of different colored yarns, behind her is an example of the free downloadable wall art that says "Yes, I buy a lot of yarn. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than therapy."

Looking for some fun ways to use those awesome wall art prints you picked up?

Here are some great ideas you can order from or craft in the comfort of your own home!

Printable wall art makes the perfect way to treat yourself. Or print up a few for your friends as birthday or Christmas presents!

Oh hey, just so you know! This post may contain affiliate links. If you click a link and purchase anything, I will receive a small portion of the sale from the seller. There’s ZERO extra cost to you. And don’t worry, I wouldn’t suggest something to you that I wouldn’t suggest to my own family, because that would be shitty and I prefer not to be shitty to people. Thanks for supporting my little business <3

DIY Ideas

Mod Podge

Does anyone else tend to forget this stuff exists? Every time I remember it, after forgetting for a while, I get all re-excited.

Print your image out at home or wherever you like to get things printed and mod podge/decoupage it to basically anything…the wall, a shelf (like maybe your yarn shelf if you’re using a Classy Lady printable – you can snag yours below if you haven’t already!), hell even the floor if you’re feeling adventurous and don’t give a damn what anyone thinks #shrug.  Though bear in mind, polyurethane and mod podge are not the same thing…You do you friend!

I like to sand the edges of the paper a bit after everything dries to give it a bit of a distressed look, then reapply one more coat of mod podge!

If you have access to an inkjet printer, you can take things a step further and actually transfer the image onto whatever surface. Amy over at Mod Podge Rocks has a great tutorial on doing just that!

Contact Paper

Another super easy thing to do is get yourself some clear contact paper, print your image and laminate your art onto any relatively smooth surface. Just make sure you cut your contact paper with at least 1/4″ of margin around the whole image. And use a credit card or something with a smooth hard edge to get all those pesky bubbles out.

Amazon Prints

Looking for something a bit less hands on?

I get it, even us crafters don’t want to DIY everything all the damn time.

Have you seen all the stuff you can do on Amazon Prints now? It’s fantastic and you can order prints without having to go stand in line and plug and unplug your phone 15 million times before that machine will read your damn hard drive…

Here are a few of my favorites!

Custom Canvas

A pretty straight-forward option, turn your print into a custom, wrapped canvas. Whether you’re gifting yourself or a friend, you can’t really mess up with a canvas print!

Tabletop Plaque

Not sure if you really want to put a large picture up on the wall? Just turn it into a tabletop plaque!

Especially great option if you are looking for a way to display your new art from us here…in case you want to limit the number of expletives you plaster up on the walls for some reason 😀

Plain Old Photo Prints

Maybe not the most creative thing, but get’s the job done. Grab a simple print and get yourself a snazzy photo frame.

Free Crochet Pattern – Plant Purgatory Wall Hanging

Let’s face it, just because you love plants, doesn’t automatically mean you have the greenest thumb on the planet…If you or someone you know keeps buying plants just to watch them slowly die on a shelf (like me…) then this wall hanging is the perfect in-good-humor free crochet pattern to stitch up 😀
